Visit the third largest city of Sicily. Leave the pier in your motorcoach and be guided through the town's main streets for a city drive. Then, through the suburbs of Messina, stop at Cristo Re Church for a photo opportunity, travel along the North coast of Messina for views of the Ganzirri Lakes, the Messina Strait and the nearest point to the Mainland, Capo Peloro. Returning to Messina, stop at the Cathedral Square and enjoy the view of its unusual astronomical clock. Visit the Norman-style cathedral with its beautiful facade. Explore the Treasure Room with its collection of historical and artistic works, donated by kings, bishops, nobles and humble people.
Have shoulders and knees covered to visit religious buildings. Masses may be held on Sundays; therefore, commentary will be done outside on these days. The actual movement of the astronomical clock is not usually seen, due to timing of excursion. There will be an option to stay downtown. Tour may operate in reverse order.
