Adding immeasurably to the mega ship’s mega appeal, is its diverse array of onboard activities, entertainment and dining options designed to please its young passengers, from toddlers to teens.
As Carnival Horizon makes its voyages across oceans and seas, parents can relax knowing there are many fun onboard options to keep the kids happy. Families will discover a perfect balance between spending time together and letting the kids safely roam and play, guaranteeing an amazing time is had by all.
Onboard Action
With the sun shining down as you cruise to your next destination, the kids will be eager to put on their swimsuits and test out the pool. Carnival Horizon takes the fun of swimming and splashing to a new level with its Dr. Seuss™ WaterWorks™ water park, which features a giant water-tipping top-hat, spray toys and two big water slides, all with a Dr. Seuss theme. Even teens who’ve long outgrown Dr. Seuss’s books will love racing down the side-by-side Fun Things slide.
When the kids’ are done splashing and sliding and they’re ready for a different type of fun, they can get out of the water and take to the air on the award-winning SkyRide®. A two-lane track suspended high over the deck means kids (and adults) at least 54 inches tall can race in pedal-powered “go-mobiles” while watching the ocean waves far below. The ropes course is another fun adventure in the air.
Energetic, sports-loving kids of all ages will discover that Carnival Horizon has plenty of space to run around (and a jogging track made specifically for it), as well as SportSquare™ with its comprehensive sports, games and workout facilities. Among the options are mini-golf, basketball, soccer, volleyball, pool, foosball and ping-pong.
Kids’ Clubs for All Ages
A cruise vacation always means plenty of family time, but the children will also love hanging out with other passengers their own ages at one of three onboard kids’ clubs. Experienced counselors provide supervision, so you don’t need to worry about letting your kids out of your sight. For little ones aged 2 to 11, there’s Camp Ocean™, which puts children into different age groups to enjoy appropriate ocean-themed activities and entertainment. They’ll also learn about marine life while having fun. Circle “C”® is the club for kids aged 12 to 14, giving them their own special space for dance parties, games, movies and more. Teenagers 15 to 17 will love to socialize, watch movies, listen to music, play sports and video games, sing karaoke and party at Club O2®.

Many of Carnival Horizon’s onboard entertainment offerings are designed with the whole family in mind. There’s Playlist Productions™, with dazzling song and dance shows enjoyed by all ages; Dive-in Movies, which are blockbuster films shown on a huge poolside screen under the stars; and finally, fun games throughout the cruise, such as the Battle of the Ages trivia game that pits kids against adults.
