When you have booked a cruise from Tampa, Florida to such an amazing destination as the Caribbean, on a cruise ship as cool as Carnival Paradise, you have a lot to look forward to. Glorious sunshine, beautiful beaches, fun excursions and experiencing diverse cultures are some of the best things about a cruise vacation – but don’t forget about tasting new flavors too!
Dining on board and discovering exotic cuisines at each port of call is a major part of the cruise vacation experience. With over 20 food and drink venues on Carnival Paradise, you’ll discover that cruise dining is a definite highlight of any voyage. Here are just a few of the most popular restaurants on board.
Fan Favorite (Included) Restaurants
Unlimited dining at all of the following restaurants – some of the most popular on any Carnival cruise ship – is always included in the cost of your cruise. So, if you discover a favorite dish or dinner spot and want to go back again and again, you can do just that without ever asking for the check!
1. Guy’s Burger Joint
Guy’s Burger Joint presents celebrity Chef Guy Fieri’s spin on cruise food – in the form of fresh-off-the-grill burgers with a side of seasoned hand-cut fries. This cool lunch spot by the pool is a family favorite, with a casual vibe inspired by a roadside burger shack.
Order a Plain Jane with or without S.M.C. (that’s “super-melty cheese” in Fieri lingo) and load it up at the toppings bar, or choose one of the fully loaded burgers featured on the menu.
Perhaps the Pig Patty with a crispy bacon patty on top of the burger catches your eye; maybe it’s The Ringer, topped with S.M.C., Guy’s bourbon and brown sugar BBQ sauce and a crispy spicy onion ring. Remember to wait at least 30 minutes before heading back to the pool.
2. Blue Iguana Cantina
You might be on your way to a Caribbean island, but your taste buds will be in Mexico when you dine at BlueIguana Cantina. Whether it’s for breakfast or lunch, take the family to the cantina for classic tacos and burritos prepared just the way you want them.
With freshly made tortillas and over a dozen house-made toppings at the salsa bar, BlueIguana Cantina offers an authentically delicious experience. Tacos come filled with your choice of chipotle-rubbed chicken, ancho roast pork or seasoned, battered fish.
Feel like a burrito instead? Build your own and fill it with chicken, beef or shrimp and your choice of rice, beans, veggies, cheeses and sauces – and that’s before you get to the salsa bar!
3. Pizza Pirate
Pizza Pirate serves up freshly baked pizzas 24 hours a day, so it’s no surprise that the restaurant is one of the most popular of them all. Whether you’re in the mood for a minimalist Margherita, a fancy Prosciutto with roasted garlic and rucola, a freshly tossed Caesar salad or a whole family feast, Pizza Pirate is ready to satisfy every appetite.
And as a 24-hour pizza joint, it’s not unheard of for diners to grab a slice for lunch, dinner, a midnight snack… maybe even breakfast? (We’re not judging!)
4. Swirls
Sometimes you need dessert to finish off a fine meal, and sometimes you’re just in the mood for a sweet treat. Plus, when you spend long days playing or relaxing under the Caribbean sun, you definitely need to cool off every now and then.
Ice cream and frozen yogurt are both perfect solutions, but you really don’t need a reason to hit up Swirls, the 24-hour ice cream parlor on the Lido deck. Swirls offers chocolate, vanilla and strawberry soft-serve and frozen yogurt, with a swirl-your-own approach that makes for some sweet fun.
More Amazing (Additional Cost) Restaurants
With so many great restaurants on Carnival Paradise you’re spoiled for choice, but sometimes you want to spoil yourself even more with a special dining experience. For an additional cost, you can book a table at one of these exclusive venues and enjoy an especially memorable meal.
5. The Chef’s Table
The Chef’s Table is a wonderful experience that will appeal to any foodie in your family. With a group size limited to 14, the intimate, multi-course dinner is hosted by the ship’s Master Executive Chef. Appetizers, entrees and desserts not featured on any regular menus are presented during the evening, which begins with signature cocktails.
Make reservations early for The Chef’s Table as spots fill up fast.
6. Steakhouse Selections
If a great steak is your idea of a perfect meal, upgrade your dinner in the main dining room with Steakhouse Selections. Indulge yourself in a steak-and-lobster surf ‘n’ turf, or delight in the tenderest filet mignon. There are many more decadent options as well.
