Fishing: Halibut is one of the most sought-after fish in the ocean and are found year-round in Alaskan waters. The nutrient rich waters found just 30-minutes from Icy Strait Point provide the ideal environment for these highly prized sportfish. Your captain will provide all the gear and instructions necessary. Marine life is vibrant within the area you’ll be traveling, so be sure to keep your eyes open for whales, seals, sea lions, and porpoises as you wait for your hook to catch.

Requirements & Restrictions: A one-day fishing license is required. It is the responsibility of the guest to obtain this license before the tour. License can be purchased online from the Alaska Fish & Wildlife website. USCG regulations require children under the age of 13 to wear a life vest while on the vessel. Minimum age – 6 years. Deck or rubber-soled shoes must be worn on the boat.
What to Bring: Fishing license and credit/debit card for purchases.
Good to Know: Weather can change quickly. It is recommended to dress in layers, including a rain jacket. Tour operator facilitates a device to purchase the fishing license the day of the tour from the Alaska Department Fish and Game website. The boat has a toilet, shaded area, and heat. This tour cannot accommodate service animals. Halibut season runs from June 1st to September 15th.
