Mayan Ruins: Altun Ha Archeological site is one of the Maya sites located nearest to the port. The ancient Mayan city is made up of two plazas and 13 structures, which includes the Temple of the Sun God where the jade head of the Maya sun god “Kinich Ahua” was found. The jade head is one of Belize’s national treasures.
Altun Ha Museum: The Altun Ha Museum on site provides a wealth of information on Maya lifestyle, temple architecture, rituals, and pottery.
Scenic Drive: Enjoy a scenic drive through part of the city and countryside while your guide speaks on Belizean culture and history.
Lunch: Enjoy a delicious Belizean lunch at a local restaurant.
What’s Included:
Accessibility: Tour is ambulatory accessible; you must be able to take a few steps (up/down) and walk short distances. Collapsible wheelchair can be stored.
Requirements & Restrictions: Wheelchair can access location. Closed-toe shoes required. For safety reasons, pregnant women and guests with back or neck injuries, respiratory illness, high blood pressure or heart conditions may not participate on this excursion.

Good to Know: Ruins are approximately 60 minutes away from ship. Guests are not allowed take video footage or use drones at Maya site and cannot climb ruins before or after rain for safety reasons.
