Hop aboard a trolley train and discover the highlights of Cartagena at a leisurely pace. The city of Cartagena, originally settled in 223 BC, flourished under Carthaginian, Roman and Moorish rule, and it offers a vast cultural legacy acquired over more than 3,000 years. You’ll start the tour with a photo stop at beautiful Parque Torres. Take photos while you bask in the stunning views of Cartagena Bay. You can also admire Concepción Castle, and from the outside of the castle, see one of the most surprising archaeological finds in the city: the discovery and excavation of the ancient Roman Theatre of Cartagena. The remains at the site, which date between 5 and 1 BC, are rich with history and culture. The theater itself was one of the largest in Roman Hispania, with a capacity of 7,000. You’ll continue your panoramic tour as you admire the city center and also some of the main attractions, including the Naval Museum and Cartagena Arsenal Building.
