Discover Sanctuary Bay: Sanctuary Bay is a natural 9-acre lagoon and home to our Atlantic bottlenose dolphins. Established in 1999, it’s been recognized for its focus on education through interaction.
Dolphin Encounter: Learn about these dolphins while they splash and jump around you. Then, step onto a submerged platform where you will be able to pet, kiss, and hug a dolphin. Your dolphin trainer will educate and entertain you with facts about these amazing creatures, and tell you more about the facility, where they live, and how the dolphins are cared for.
Bird Experience: Explore the bird patio, home to macaws, cockatoos, and African tortoises of all sizes. Animal care staff will be on hand to safely handle the birds while you take some social media-worthy photos.
Accessibility: Tour is ambulatory accessible. You must be able to take a few steps (up/down) and walk short distances. Collapsible wheelchair can be stored.
Requirements & Restrictions: A parent or guardian must participate in the dolphin program with children under 16 years. Cameras and cell phones are not permitted during the dolphin program. For the safety of the dolphins, please remove jewelry and do not wear tanning oils and excessive amounts of sunscreen.
What to Bring: Beach towel and cash for purchases.
Good to Know: All ages are welcome. The platform depth is approximately 3 ft., and any child unable to stand flat footed on the platform without assistance will need to be held by the parent or guardian. This excursion does not offer an observer option. Professional photos will be available for purchase.
