Discover Sanctuary Bay: Sanctuary Bay is a natural 9-acre lagoon and home to Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins. Established in 1999, the Dolphin Experience has been long recognized in the marine mammal field with a focus on education through interaction.
Swim with Dolphins in Open Ocean: Meet your dolphin trainer and receive a quick orientation before heading out into the open ocean. The trainers will talk with you about the process of open ocean training as dolphins jump and play in the boat’s wake. You will enter the water by dive ladder to a depth of approximately 20-25 ft. Swim alongside these amazing creatures and perform behaviors with the dolphins, as you ask them to turn around, splash, wave, and speak.
Bird Experience: Explore the bird patio, home to macaws, cockatoos, and African tortoises of all sizes. Animal care staff will be on hand to safely handle the birds while you take some social media-worthy photos.
What’s Included:
Accessibility: Tour is ambulatory accessible. You must be able to take a few steps (up/down) and walk short distances. Collapsible wheelchair can be stored.
Requirements & Restrictions: Minimum height – 55 in. A parent or guardian must participate in the dolphin program with children under 16 years. For safety reasons, pregnant women may not participate on this excursion. Cameras and cell phones are not permitted during the dolphin program. For the safety of the dolphins, please remove jewelry and do not wear tanning oils and excessive amounts of sunscreen. Life vest is mandatory to wear.
