Bay of Islands: Come discover the beautiful Bay of Islands, charted by Captain James Cook in the late 1700s. The local mountain chain here is part of the Appalachian Mountains that start in the southern USA and extend this far north.
Coastal Communities: Little Port, Lark Harbour, John's Beach, and York Harbour will welcome you.
Bottle Cove: Used as a French fishing station in the early 16th century, while Governors Island was used by Basque fishermen from the early 1500s. This bay has deep water, steep wood-covered hills, and tall, barren, lofty peaks. There will be plenty of photo stops and even time for a 'mug up' and browsing for souvenirs at Lark Harbour.
