A Walk Through History

Discover the historic core of downtown Halifax as you join your local guide for a walking excursion through an historic yet modern city.

On this excursion you will:

• Explore the Public Gardens, an oasis within the city, historic homes and points of interest such as Spring Garden Road, the busiest pedestrian street East of Montreal, the famous Town Clock, City Hall, Grand Parade, Province House and much more.
• Your walking tour will end at Historic Properties-a popular waterfront complex of 19th-century wharves and privateers' warehouses that have now been transformed into charming boutiques and restaurants.
• Here if you choose, stay and enjoy the local seafood or pick up a great souvenir or keepsake of locally made woolens, hand cut crystal, local pewter and much more!

Note: Stops for restrooms and/or snacks may be made if desired. This is a walking tour, comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Tour ends at Historic Properties, approximately a 10-15 minute walk back to the ship. Alternate arrangements can be made for those require transport directly back to the pier.
