Aghios Nikolaos on Your Own

Chill out on the beach or explore the cosmopolitan charms of Aghios Nikolaos. Hop aboard your coach for a one hour scenic drive along the coast to Aghios Nikolaos, undoubtedly the most picturesque harbour in Crete where you will have approx. 3.5 hours to explore. 

The heart of the town is set around the famous Voulismeni Lake, and the pretty pedestrianized harbor is lined with colorful boutiques, tavernas and cafes, This beautiful harbor town also boasts a wealth of culture, housing the Archaeological and Folklore Museums. If you wish to take things at a slower pace there are several beaches close by, all of which have been awarded the blue flag standard.
