Good to Know: Tour operator is authorized under special use permit to access the Tongass National Forest. This tour does not include walking on the glacier as only helicopter tours are permitted access to the glacier. You will be across the lake at the Glacier Visitors Center, which offers spectacular views of the glacier face. Visit at the glacier is self-guided as your driver is not permitted to conduct tours.
