Discover Medieval Lucca

Sheltered by medieval city walls, Lucca offers a wonderful half day tour of breathtaking Tuscan scenery and a chance to explore a small medieval town steeped in history and culture. Enjoy a 40-minute motor coach journey to this important city of art and traditional culture, ripe in towers, medieval churches, Renaissance palaces and Piazzas. Walk through the major sites, such as the Renaissance Walls, still an intact circle that stretches about 4km (2.5 miles), with a series of ramparts. They have been transformed into a beautiful public walkway, free of cars, providing marvelous scenic paths. Majestically rising high in the main Piazza, you will have an inside visit of the Duomo. Admire the oval shaped Amphitheater Square, built on foundations of an ancient Roman amphitheater and surrounded by majestic buildings such as the Bapistery of Saints Giovanni and Reparata. Time on your own will be given for shopping.
