Travel for one hour to Taormina via motorcoach. The city, which is built on a plateau of Monte Tauro against a backdrop of enchanting natural beauty, preserves interesting relics from the Greek, Roman and Medieval periods. You will stroll through the center to enter the old town through the historic Porta Messina. Your guide will let you admire the dramatic external façade of Palazzo Corvaja, the town's most important building, dating back to the 15th century (although the original structure is a tower dating from the Arab period). You will enter further into the heart of the town to visit the spectacular Greek Theatre, dating back to the Hellenistic period, that is the symbol of the town and one of the most famous Sicilian monuments. You will have some free time to wander through the fascinating narrow streets of the old town or to do some shopping.
