City Drive: Learn why Napier was hailed the ‘Art Deco City’ on an hour-long orientation city tour. Your drive will discuss the city’s history and stories including the devastating 1931 earthquake as you follow the seashore along Marine Parade. Pass the sunken gardens, National Aquarium, Spirit of Napier, and Art Deco buildings. Continue through Napier’s suburbs for views of the city and Hawkes Bay. Travel through the Marewa District, noted for its many Deco homes and superb gardens.

Good to Know: At the end of the tour, stop at the Napier visitors’ center. Guests may choose to have free time for further sightseeing and shopping. A complimentary shuttle is available for the return to the ship.
