Visit a typical farmhouse in Sorrento and this characteristic town center, followed by a guided tour around the famous excavations of Pompeii. You'll get a glimpse into the real life and daily activities of a local farm family. Learn about their homemade products, tasting their own made wine, limoncello and olive oil, handmade mozzarella, and salami within their lemon and olive grove. Next, explore the flower-filled main street lined with boutiques and sidewalk cafes, enjoying some free time to shop and relax. Continue on to the famous archaeological site of Pompeii. Buried for centuries, it wasn't until 1748 that the town was rediscovered, and excavations began. You'll enjoy a guided tour of this amazing excavation and afterwards, a stop at a cameo factory will be made to see how this delicate work is created.
This excursion involves approximately two hours of walking over uneven surfaces and cobblestone. For safety reasons, guests with difficulty walking may not participate on this excursion. Comfortable walking shoes, hat and sunscreen are recommended. Headphones supplied in Pompeii. Tour may operate in reverse order. There are winding roads.
