Accessibility: This tour is not accessible. Wheelchairs and mobile scooters are not permitted. Guests requiring mobility devices such as canes or walkers must travel with an able-bodied companion. For safety reasons, all guests must be able to embark and disembark the vessels without assistance and navigate any ramps, ladders or stairs required for participation in animal programs. Guests with limited or no hearing must travel with an interpreter. Guests with limited or no vision will not be permitted to participate in any of the tours.
Requirements & Restrictions: Minimum age – 8 years. Minimum height – 48 in. For safety reasons, this tour is not suitable for guests who are pregnant, lower limb amputees, epilepsy, or Tourette’s. For guest safety, individuals using oxygen delivery systems, including portable tanks and concentrators, are not permitted on this tour. Cameras, cells phones and other electronic devices are not allowed during the sea lion encounter.
What to Bring: Light clothing, sun hat, and debit/credit card for purchases (American Express® card is not accepted on the island).
Good to Know: Transportation to the island is via a 35-minute, scenic boat ride. Guests booked on other Blue Lagoon tours may travel together on the same boat. Paddleboards, kayaks, clear bottom kayaks, water bikes and snorkel gear are available for rent. Access to the Aquapark will be available at additional cost. once on the island. Facilities also include showers, lockers and changing rooms. Blue Lagoon Island is certified under the global American Humane Conservation program for the welfare and humane treatment of the animals under its care.
