Doka Coffee Plantation: Sits 4500 ft above sea level and has been declared a Historical and Architectural Heritage Site by the Costa Rica Government, it houses the oldest wet coffee mill in the country. Discover the step-by-step process of germination, recollection, quality separation, peeling and drying of the cherries. Captivate your senses tasting the different types of roasts their Tres Generaciones coffee offers.

Butterfly, Orchid Garden & Bonsai Tree Exhibition: Walk their large butterfly garden featuring many different species including the spectacular Blue Morpho and several other tropical varieties, see their orchid collection, and spend some time observing hundreds of small bonsai trees.

Notes

Accessibility: Tour is ambulatory accessible, you must be able to take some steps and walk short distances, collapsible wheelchairs can be stored. Parts of the wet coffee mill house are not accessible.

Requirements & Restrictions: Tour involves walking along some inclines along cemented pathways, the Wet Mill have some steps that need to be safely traversed.

What to Bring: Suntan lotion, hat, comfortable shoes, umbrella, camera, cash and credit/debit card for purchases.

Good to Know: The ride from the port to Doka State is about 2 hours and 15 minutes each way using paved roads with breathtaking views of the countryside, mountain ranges and villages.
