El Portal: Explore, discover, and connect at El Portal Visitor Center which offers information, trails, exhibits, a store, restaurant, and a theater. You will have the opportunity to spot the endangered Puerto Rican parrot, the Amazona vittata, and learn about efforts made to recover this species.
Observational Tower: Be mesmerized with this beautiful view, where the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea unites and enjoy the view of the canopies of the rainforest.
Requirements & Restrictions: This is a hiking tour with a fair amount of walking over uneven terrain. For safety reasons, guests with mobility difficulties, guests with knee, back or neck injuries, and guests with heart, vision, or respiratory conditions may not participate on this excursion.
What to Bring: A light raincoat and/or towel, closed-toe shoes, camera and cash or credit/debit card for purchases.
Good to Know: Traffic can get congested and alternate routes may be used when possible. The road to the rainforest has a lot of curves, therefore, guests that suffer from motion sickness or similar should take this into consideration before booking this excursion.
