You’ll be taken by boats to the port of Athinios from where you’ll get on the awaiting coaches for a 30-minute drive to Perivolos beach. Here you’ll be given leisure time to enjoy the endless black sandy beach of Kamari. This beautiful beach stretches for five miles in length along the eastern coast of the island. Lot of taverns, restaurants, hotels, tourist shops and entertainment spots are available on the seafront. A number of water sports activities are also available with direct payment to the local concessionaires.
Enjoy the crystalline clear waters of the Aegean Sea, and let the sun enhance your tan while relaxing among a cosmopolitan crowd of sun worshipers. You’ll then re-board your coaches which will take you to the famous Thira town where you can have a stroll in the beautiful cobblestone streets of the town before taking your cable car ride to Thira port to re-join your ship.
Good to Know: Towels, beach chairs, and water toys are not included. The return to the ship is by cable car from Fira Town to the port and then a water shuttle. The cable car is reached by a long walk across Fira upper town along narrow cobble-stoned streets with an incline and steps. Low heeled shoes are recommended and passengers with physical limitations are requested to take this into consideration. Passengers should also expect lines at the cable car; the wait can be in excess of 60 minutes if multiple ships are in port.
