Sitka Snorkel: Discover the hidden treasures beneath the surface of Sitka Sound on a guided snorkeling adventure. Arrive dockside, where you'll be taken to a changing area to prepare for your adventure. Put on your dry suit and head to the snorkel site at Magic Island in Halibut Point Recreation State Park. You will receive a safety orientation before plunging into the awe-inspiring waters of Alaska. Explore the vibrant sea floor ecosystem and spot wildlife like sea stars, sun stars, crab, fish, sea anemones, filter feeders, sea urchins, and sea cucumbers. Enhance your journey with a visit to the fascinating giant kelp forest.

Requirements & Restrictions: Minimum age - 12 years. Minimum weight – 85lbs. Maximum. weight – 240lbs. This tour is not suitable for guests with latex allergies.
Good to Know: You will spend approximately 30-45 minutes to 1 hour in the water. Safety is the number one priority of your guides, and each guest will receive additional information regarding the water temperatures, visibility, tidal fluctuations, and local marine life. There is a 1:6 guide-to-guest ratio and a certified dive master accompanies the group. All guides are trained in CPR, dive and snorkel procedures, and the marine environment. The advantages of using a dry suit are warmth, buoyancy, safety, comfort, and ease in changing. You simply wear your own street clothes under the dry suit. There is a secure space to leave your belongings.
