Nature Hike: Embark on a guided hiking adventure through the natural wonders of Sitka and its surrounding area. Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, set off on foot to explore the rich flora, fauna, and history of the region. Enjoy stunning mountain views (weather permitting) as you descend gradually for half a mile to Starrigavin Creek. Traverse a peaceful half-mile boardwalk through the Starrigavin Estuary bird viewing area. Cross the road and continue your journey on the Mosquito Cove Loop Trail, a 1½-mile path that offers a gain of approximately 300 feet in elevation. Complete your hike by strolling along the beautiful beach back to Old Sitka, where you will be conveniently taken back to the dock.

Good to Know: Restrooms are available at the Starrigavin Estuary bird viewing area. This is an active excursion and guests must be physically fit in order to participate. Each group sets its own hiking pace, so the length of the hike may vary between two and four miles. Tour operates in rain or shine.
