Chilkoot River: Join expert naturalists on an exhilarating trip to the Chilkoot River, the Tlingit people's favorite fishing site, where you'll be able to witness brown bears. As the sun sets, families of bears venture to the river, providing a remarkable opportunity to observe the food chain in action. From the comfort of our bus, you can watch thousands of salmon swim past the hungry bears, while bald eagles, gulls, ravens, and ducks soar overhead. After this unforgettable wildlife experience, your guides will captivate you with tales of life in a charming Alaska fishing village as we drive through downtown Haines and historic Fort Seward before heading to Skagway.
Accessibility: Tide conditions can make ramp to dock very steep. For safety reasons, this tour is not recommended for guests with mobility difficulties.
