Glacier Point: This wilderness expedition to the spectacular Davidson Glacier immerses you in the abundant natural beauty of Alaska, leading you through fjords, rain forests, vibrant wildflowers, and towering mountains. Kick off the tour with a sublime cruise down the Lynn Canal to a remote beach landing at Glacier Point. You’ll then hike to your canoe waiting to take you face to face with the stunning Davidson Glacier. Wrap up your Alaskan adventure with a picnic lunch on the beach before the return cruise back to town.
What’s Included:
Requirements & Restrictions: Guest must be able to walk approximately ½ a mile over uneven terrain and participate in paddling the canoe. Guests must be in good physical condition and able to hike approximately ½ a mile over natural terrain. Minimum weight – 50 lbs; maximum weight – 350 lbs. Minimum age – 6 years. A signed waiver is required of all guests.
What to Bring: Camera, rain gear, and sturdy shoes. Dress in layers.
Good to Know: Guests are no longer able to touch the glacier since it has receded significantly. Walk on the Delta, weather conditions permitting. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.
