Skyride & Pirates Treasure Museum

The St. Thomas Skyride takes you 700 ft. above sea level to the most spectacular lookout point on the island! At your leisure, ride a state-of-the-art tramway, 15 minutes roundtrip, leaving plenty of time for relaxing at the top. Enjoy a panoramic view of the harbor, cruise ships, and downtown Charlotte Amalie while sipping a refreshing beverage or just soaking in the view. Then walk to the Pirates Treasure and Shipwreck Museum, located right next door to Skyride to Paradise Point, which incorporates history and interactive exhibits. Discover the world of pirates and the deep-ocean exploration with technology used to recover treasures that were once thought lost forever. At your leisure, stroll through the two story museum (elevator available). Try your hand at maneuvering the remotely operated vehicle “Zeus” to pick up coins much like it is maneuvered to pick up artifacts on the ocean floor. Take a virtual reality experience by flying Zeus to previously unreachable depths to explore shipwreck sites. Experience firsthand the high-powered winds that brought down the Republic and other famous shipwrecks as you step into the hurricane simulators. When you finish, make sure to visit the gift shop to find a treasure of your own to take home!
