On this half-day excursion, you'll be taken to explore the charming town of Puerto de la Cruz where you can explore on your own. From the pier, you’ll travel east north to the other side of the island. While here, you can stroll to the colonial center of town made up of narrow, cobbled streets lined with many well-preserved Spanish colonial buildings. Later, you can either visit the nearby Castillo San Felipe, one of the four ancient forts that once defended the city; or tour the Orchid Garden, a calm, tranquil green space with an orchid walk. You will also have a chance to visit the 17th-century Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de La Peña de Francia, Puerto de la Cruz’s main church. After sightseeing, you may want to head over to Plaza del Charco in the town center to enjoy a glass of sangria or shop for souvenirs before boarding the motor coach for your return trip.
