Visit some of the most popular and remote areas of Santa Cruz on this 3-hour guided walking tour. Highlights include Plaza de España, the largest square in Santa Cruz, and Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de la Concepción, built on the site of the chapel where the Spanish conquistadors celebrated the first Mass on the island. Afterward, enjoy some free time to shop for fruit, vegetables, breads, and cheese at Nuestra Senora de Africa market before heading to Weyler Square, an expansive area stretching over 4,000 sq ft. From there, you’ll visit Garcia Sanabria Park. At 723,700 sq ft., this serene oasis is the largest urban park in the Canary Islands, featuring statues, tropical plants, floral arches, lily ponds, fountains, and a lovely flower clock. As you head back to the ship, you’ll make a final stop along the way at the Iglesia de San, recognized as one of the best examples of 17th-century baroque architecture in the islands.
