Bottom Fishing: Bottom fishing is a great way to catch some of Cozumel's best fish. Your boat captain will move you to shallower ground where you can try your luck. All participants will get a chance to hold the fishing rod and reel fish in.
Methods: Bottom fishing in Cozumel is done by dropping lines straight down and deep, with hook, bait, and weight, until they reach the bottom. We'll do this while drifting, rather than trolling, and normally close to shore. In Mexico, many crews don't even use rods for this type of fishing, preferring to use hand-reeled line instead, as they've been doing for their whole lives.
Catch Prepared at the Beach: Once done, the boat will take you to the beach, where a welcome drink awaits you and you will have your catch prepared for you. If there was no catch, you will still have a fish filet prepared at the beach.
